Copiously illustrated publication to accompany Alec Finlay's commission Specimen Colony: Six colonies for a European city for the Bluecoat's reopening in 2008, following a major capital development. 34 colourful bird boxes, their design based on exotic birds featured on foreign stamps, were installed in the Bluecoat's trees and Finlay's collaborative process is charted in this handsome volume featuring all the boxes and related material.
