On completion you will be a knowledgeable, confident screen printer and able to hire our printmaking facilities to use.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe course schedule is as follows:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cb\u003eWeek 1:\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e You will learn the fundamentals of screen printing and create experimental prints using hand cut paper stencils and screen mono printing techniques.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cb\u003eWeek 2:\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/b\u003eYou will learn how to clean a screen and prepare it for printing, as well as coating your screen in UV sensitive emulsion and exposing it to create a permanent stencil for printing. You will then use your exposed screen to create a set of prints.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cb\u003eWeek 3:\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/b\u003eThis week will teach you all about registration and how to use multiple screens to create multi-layered prints.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cb\u003eWeek 4:\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/b\u003eYour final week will teach you how to print onto fabric, utilising all you've learnt to understand the subtle changes needed in the screen printing process to create great fabric prints.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eWhat’s Included?\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll materials you will use are included in the cost of the course, but you are welcome to bring along your own if you choose. Our studios are environmentally friendly where possible and use greener methods of screen printing, such as water-based acrylic inks.
